Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has issued a stern warning, claiming that there are ongoing conspiracies aimed at toppling his provincial government.
In an impassioned video message released on Friday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader stated that he might dissolve the provincial assembly at any moment if these alleged attempts persist.
Gandapur asserted that political maneuvers are being orchestrated to destabilize his administration. “If this continues, I will dissolve the assembly myself at any time,” he cautioned.
He further elaborated that a failure to pass the provincial budget could provide the federal government with a pretext to assume control of the province under the guise of a financial emergency. “If the budget is not passed, the federation can step in on the basis of financial emergency,” the Chief Minister warned.
Emphasizing his allegiance to the incarcerated PTI founder, Gandapur declared that the KP budget will only be approved after direct consultation with and endorsement from the party’s founder. “Not allowing me to meet the founder of PTI is a violation of a fundamental right,” he asserted.
He made it clear that no significant decisions concerning the province, especially those pertaining to financial matters, would be made without input from the party leadership.
Gandapur vowed that no conspiracy against the province would be permitted to succeed. “We will not let any scheme against KP succeed,” he stated, adding that a movement would be launched against what he termed a “flawed system.”
