Rana Sanaullah, Advisor to the Prime Minister, articulated profound worries concerning the prospect of an impending strike against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Rana Sanaullah stated, “It appears a strike on Iran’s nuclear program is probable. The United States is averse to Iran achieving nuclear capability and is resolute in preventing it at any expense.” He conveyed these thoughts during an exclusive appearance on SAMAA TV’s program, “Nadeem Malik Live.”
Sanaullah underscored Pakistan’s advantageous standing as a nuclear power, reminiscing about the nation’s nuclear tests conducted 27 years prior. He claimed, “Allah granted us victory in the struggle for truth. In that conflict, Israel was allied with India.”
The advisor emphasized that Pakistan ought to strive to avert any assault on Iran. “Should Iran be attacked, a reaction is certain to follow. Efforts must be underway to preclude such a conflict. Pakistan should engage with the Iranian leadership and assist in de-escalating the situation,” he remarked, adding that Pakistan’s options in this scenario are constrained, and he foresees no propitious outcomes.
Further elaborating, he mentioned that high-ranking U.S. officials, whom he referred to as “field marshals,” are en route to Washington. He clarified, “If China desires, it could halt the attack. Pakistan, however, is not in a position to prevent it. The potential aggressor is not Israel but the United States.”
He raised questions about whether the U.S. would consult Pakistan or other regional actors. He concluded by stating, “Pakistan cannot participate in any military action against Iran. Should such an attack occur, it would create a challenging predicament for Pakistan as well.”
