Hanumankind is slated to headline a performance at The Academy in Dublin on Monday, July 14, as part of his “OTW Europe 2025 Tour.” This event will mark his inaugural show in Ireland.
Born in Kerala, Hanumankind, whose real name is Sooraj Cherukat, spent his formative years traversing the globe, residing in France, Nigeria, Egypt, Dubai, and the UK before ultimately settling in Houston.
According to a press release, his forthcoming performance at The Academy is poised to solidify Hanumankind’s place in history as “one of the artists who introduced the world to Indian hip-hop.”
Just last year, the rapper released his highly popular track, “Big Dawgs,” which not only achieved widespread social media recognition across YouTube Shorts, TikToks, and Instagram Reels but also ascended to international hit status. Following the immense success of “Big Dawgs,” Hanumankind further amplified its reach by collaborating with A$AP Rocky on a remixed version of the song.
Despite primarily rapping in English, he holds considerable popularity in his home country, India, for his efforts in promoting Indian culture and pop music through his artistry. In September 2024, Hanumankind performed at a rally for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York. He has also released two EPs: “Kalari” in 2019 and “Surface Level” the subsequent year.
