Speaking with PEOPLE magazine, the actor currently appearing alongside the Dynasty actress in the off-Broadway show, Little Shop of Horrors, expressed that Liz and Ariana’s friendship “makes perfect sense.”
Milo also shared that his introduction to Ariana happened when she came to support Liz, with whom she shares a long-standing close relationship, having risen to fame together through the successful Nickelodeon series, Victorious.
“They are both such sweet people,” the 24-year-old stated, adding, “I mean, I’ve spent so much time with Liz, and at this point, she’s practically family. We’ve experienced so much together. I’ve learned a great deal from her, and the more I get to know her, the more remarkable I find her to be.”
“Ariana came to see the performance,” Milo recounted.
He further elaborated, “It’s completely understandable that they are friends. They are both such kind-hearted individuals, both so passionate about theater. It was truly lovely to witness Ariana’s support for Liz, and I could see them simply enjoying being in the theater together, like young girls again.”
Following Ariana Grande’s visit to support Liz Gillies, the 31-year-old actress took to her official Instagram account, posting a series of photos, one of which showed the Wicked star gifting her a potted plant.
She captioned the post, “THANK YOU FOR COMING TO THE SHOP, MY DINGUS!!”
