Following earlier difficulties such as sluggish ticket sales, Beyoncé experienced an uncomfortable on-stage incident.
During the final performance of her Los Angeles concerts on May 9th, Beyoncé found herself in an embarrassing situation when a robotic arm malfunctioned while attempting to pour a beverage into her glass.
In a video shared by a fan on X (formerly Twitter), as part of the show’s staging, the robot was intended to pour her a drink, but instead, it spilled the entire contents onto the gilded throne she was seated upon.
The moment quickly gained viral traction, with one fan commenting, “Beyoncé really wanted to laugh… she looked at the robot as if it wasn’t mechanical.”
Another observer noted, “Beyonce picked up a drink, didn’t take a sip, and then set it back down. She then interacted with a nonexistent electronic device and was lowered into the stage. Wow. Such entertainment. It’s fortunate that all the people she might have overshadowed to reach her current position couldn’t have done any better.”
It’s worth noting that this mishap compounds the challenges Beyoncé is encountering on her “Cowboy Carter” tour.
Reports indicate that several shows have yet to reach full capacity, including her upcoming performances in Chicago and London.
Ticket prices have been significantly reduced, with some available for as low as $35 in Los Angeles and £66 in the UK.
