Information Minister Atta Tarar stated in the National Assembly on Thursday that Pakistan’s retaliatory action across the Line of Control (LoC), following Indian missile strikes, resulted in the deaths of 40 to 50 Indian troops.
Addressing a motion in the National Assembly, he disclosed that the National Security Committee (NSC) had granted full authority to the nation’s highly-prepared armed forces to respond at a time and location of their choosing.
“The forces have been given complete authority to deliver a potent and forceful response. It is now up to us to determine the subsequent course of action. Our response will be swift and impactful, leaving a lasting impression on the world.”
The minister condemned India’s cowardly nighttime attack on Pakistan, emphasizing the use of their advanced Rafale jets.
“India’s arrogance has been thoroughly dismantled, and their perceived invincibility has been decisively humbled,” he asserted. “Pakistan consistently unites as a formidable force when confronted with such challenges.”
Tarar lauded Pakistan’s forces, recognizing them as heroes for successfully downing Indian aircraft and dismantling India’s pride.
He highlighted India’s strategic shift after failing to achieve their objectives with high-tech weaponry.
“Despite India’s superior technology, resilient Pakistanis stand united in the face of any challenge, and even the manufacturers of Rafale are questioning the efficacy of their product.”
He also noted an 18% decline in the shares of Rafale’s manufacturer.
In response to India’s cowardly midnight strikes between May 6 and 7, Pakistan asserted its air combat dominance by shooting down five IAF fighter jets, including three Rafales, marking the first combat losses of the French-made warplanes.
A Su-30MKI and a MiG-29 Fulcrum were also among the downed Indian planes. CNN quoted a senior French intelligence official on Wednesday, stating, “An IAF (Indian Air Force) Rafale fighter jet was downed by Pakistan, representing the first combat loss of these sophisticated French-made warplanes.”
He affirmed that the nation’s defense is in capable and secure hands, and the armed forces are fully prepared. “The entire nation stands in solidarity with Pakistan’s armed forces in response to Indian aggression,” the information minister concluded.
