In a bold move poised to reshape the competitive landscape of Pakistan’s SUV market, Kia Lucky Motors has announced a substantial price reduction for its Sportage L lineup, with the new rates taking effect from May 1, 2025.
The automaker has introduced this offer as a limited-time deal, strictly available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
The revised ex-factory prices are as follows:
Sportage L HEV: Reduced from Rs 12,850,000 to Rs 10,999,000 Sportage L FWD: Reduced from Rs 11,825,000 to Rs 9,999,000 Sportage L Alpha: Reduced from Rs 9,499,000 to Rs 8,499,000
This significant revision comes in the wake of growing customer feedback and market pushback following the initial launch prices.
As per media reports, potential buyers had voiced concerns regarding affordability and sought more competitive pricing from dealerships.
While the price cuts are being widely welcomed, Kia has not yet clarified whether the new rates will apply to customers who pre-booked or recently purchased the vehicle at the older prices. There is also no official word on the duration of this offer, leading to speculation that the automaker may be testing market elasticity or aiming to boost mid-year sales.
The Sportage has long been a favourite among Pakistani SUV buyers for its stylish design and features. This strategic pricing move is expected to reignite interest, particularly in the hybrid and FWD segments, and may prompt competitors such as the Hyundai Tucson, Proton X70, and MG HS to follow suit.
