The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday officially announced that the country will host Bangladesh for a five-match T20 International (T20I) series. This series is part of the Future Tour Programme (FTP), which originally included three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20Is.
However, considering the upcoming T20 World Cup next year, both cricket boards have mutually agreed to replace the ODI matches with two additional T20Is, according to the PCB’s press release.
The five-match T20I series is scheduled to be played in Faisalabad and Lahore from May 25th to June 3rd.
The Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, which successfully hosted the inaugural Champions One-Day Cup in September of the previous year and the National T20 Cup last month, will be the venue for the first and second T20Is of the series, taking place on May 25th and May 27th, respectively.
