It is undeniable that Mahrang Langove and her party, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, have been destabilizing peace and law and order in Balochistan for the past year and a half under the guise of the so-called Baloch rights movement against the state, influenced by foreign entities.
Despite Mahrang Langove’s violent actions, illegal statements, and anti-state slogans, the state and security agencies have afforded her freedom of expression and the right to peaceful protest.
Following the Jafar Express terrorist incident, Mahrang Langove crossed all limits and red lines by forcibly removing the bodies of terrorists from Civil Hospital Quetta, where they were held for critical DNA testing and post-mortem examination. No civilized society can condone such support for terrorists, and no law permits this unlawful act.
Mahrang Langove, who has a history of engaging in anti-state activities and making baseless allegations against the state, has now been arrested. This arrest became necessary because she directly aided terrorists, crossing a red line and making her arrest unavoidable under the law.
The anti-national Mahrang Langove stormed Civil Hospital in Quetta, where post-mortem examinations of deceased terrorists were being conducted to gather further intelligence and apprehend more terrorists. During this, she attempted to seize several bodies, prompting authorities to intervene and enforce the law.
She was arrested and taken to Quetta Jail.
Previously, three individuals were killed by gunfire from violent protesters of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee during a protest, and an FIR has been filed against Mahrang Langove in connection with this incident.
It is crucial to understand that whether in Pakistan or any other nation, if an anti-national element or individual transgresses legal boundaries under the guise of freedom of expression, there can be no forgiveness or leniency.
What kind of freedom of expression permits these anti-national elements to attack hospitals, aid terrorists, and even attempt to seize the bodies of terrorists? This was the red line, after which Mahrang Langove was arrested, and a formal case was registered against her. This case aligns with the constitution and laws of any civilized country.
There is no exception to this, as no individual is above the protection and security of the nation.
Given these facts, all countries and international human rights organizations that position themselves as global human rights defenders should condemn Mahrang Langove’s anti-state actions.
This is particularly relevant for figures like Malala Yousafzai, who attempt to portray themselves as human rights activists without fully comprehending the situation.
No state can allow individuals, including figures like Mahrang Langove, to attack hospitals under the guise of freedom of expression. When they assault and seize the bodies of terrorists, they should not be exempt from law and legal action.
