The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Karachi has apprehended a suspect who was allegedly producing and distributing explicit videos of underage American children. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by the U.S. Consulate.
According to FIA sources, the suspect, identified as Agha Sarwar Abbas, a resident of New Rizvia, Karachi, was taken into custody by the FIA Cyber Crime Circle. He is accused of posing as an American citizen to create and disseminate indecent videos of young American children and subsequently threatening them.
Authorities seized mobile phones, a laptop, and equipment used in the production of the pornographic videos. They also recovered threatening messages the suspect sent to the children, warning them against disclosing the content. Investigations revealed that the suspect obtained information about the children from various related websites.
The arrest was made in connection with an ongoing FBI investigation. The FIA has registered a case against the suspect and is conducting further inquiries.
