As Ramadan commences, Karachi residents should anticipate a brief period of cooler nights before temperatures climb in the coming days, according to weather analyst Jawad Memon.
Memon indicates that nighttime temperatures in Karachi are expected to decrease by two to three degrees Celsius over the next two to three days, with lows fluctuating between 13°C and 16°C. Suburban regions, including Surjani Town, Scheme 33, and Steel Town, could experience even lower temperatures, ranging from 10°C to 12°C.
Similarly, neighborhoods such as Federal B Area, Orangi Town, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal are likely to see nighttime temperatures between 12°C and 15°C.
He further noted that winter has officially concluded in the coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan, including Karachi, with stable temperatures ranging from 17°C to 20°C. However, a change in weather patterns is anticipated from March 6, with daytime highs predicted to reach between 35°C and 37°C, while nighttime temperatures will vary between 22°C and 25°C.
Meanwhile, northern and upper regions of the country may encounter a brief cold spell lasting three to four days due to recent snowfall in the area. The cold winds accompanying this weather system might bring a temporary chill to parts of Pakistan before temperatures rise again.
Karachi residents are advised to prepare for fluctuating temperatures in the upcoming days as the transition from winter to summer progresses.
