Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui said on Saturday that the government had made every effort to hold talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Speaking on Samaa TV’s program “Mere Sawal With Absar Alam,” Siddiqui said, “We planned to meet the PTI leadership on a positive note, but the talks ended.”
He further stated, “PTI was not created for negotiations. Holding talks is not part of its DNA.”
The PML-N stalwart added, “D-Chowk protests, final calls, and the May 9 vandalism align with PTI’s style.”
Siddiqui emphasized, “Even today, we have kept the doors open for negotiations, but PTI is unwilling to engage in talks.”
He further remarked, “The army chief has spoken categorically about the letter. Sending a letter to the prime minister implies that politicians should resolve their issues themselves.”
“PTI is the first political party that has consistently engaged in propaganda and narrative-building,” Siddiqui concluded.
