In Pakistan, the price of gold saw a massive increase on Monday, reflecting global market trends, once again crossing the dreaded Rs300,000 mark.
In the local market, the price of 24-carat gold per tola surged by Rs4,000, reaching the highest-ever Rs303,000, according to data provided by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by Rs3,429, taking it to Rs259,773.
In the international market, the price of gold also saw a huge rise of $42 on Monday, reaching $2,903 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-carat silver in the local market also rose by Rs43, reaching Rs3,373 per tola.
