The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy returns next month for the first time since 2017. To set the stage, the ICC pays tribute to the iconic ‘white jackets’ with a promo video featuring Pakistan legend and former captain Wasim Akram, who calls on fans worldwide to join the journey of champions as the eight teams put it ‘All On The Line’.
The unmissable tournament will take place from 19 February to 9 March 2025, spanning 19 days and featuring 15 matches where the top eight teams will battle it out in an intense and all-out showdown.
Every match in this high-stakes event holds immense significance, with teams not only competing for the Champions Trophy but also for the prestigious white jackets—symbols of ultimate greatness and determination.
The white jacket is an honor worn by champions. With a decorated career spanning three decades, Wasim Akram emphasizes in the promo video that the jackets represent relentless pursuit of tactical brilliance and a legacy that inspires future generations. Winning the white jacket signifies the journey of putting everything on the line for victory.
Wasim Akram said, “The ICC Men’s Champions Trophy represents the best of the best, and the unveiling of the white jacket, which symbolizes greatness, will now build the excitement of the event across the global cricket community.
