The US dollar rate in Pakistan increased by Re0.6 to Rs278.62 in the interbank market on January 6.
In the open market, the buying and selling rates were Rs278.50 and Rs280.00 respectively.

The Euro saw an increase of Rs1.28, closing at Rs287.85.
The Japanese Yen fell by 1 paisa, closing at Rs1.76, while the British Pound increased by Rs1.52, trading at Rs347.07.
The exchange rates for the Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal rose by 1 paisa and 2 paisa, respectively.
