Federal Minister for Privatisation Abdul Aleem Khan visited the Sobia Mahal private museum in Islamabad on Sunday.
During the visit, the minister viewed rare copies of the Holy Quran, samples of Islamic calligraphy, artifacts from the Indus Valley Civilization, and examples of contemporary art. He remarked, “Bringing together items related to Islamic civilization in one place is a remarkable achievement.”
He lauded Zahid Pervez Butt, a renowned educationist and historian, for his role in establishing the museum. The minister expressed keen interest in the ‘Allah, Muhammad’ gallery, where sacred names were beautifully displayed.
Abdul Aleem Khan stated, “This museum blends ancient and modern civilizations, offering the younger generation a valuable opportunity to learn about their heritage and history.”
Founder Zahid Pervez Butt shared that the museum reflects their family legacy and efforts, now passed on to the third generation.
The executive director of Sobia Mahal expressed gratitude to Abdul Aleem Khan for his visit and encouragement.
