Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone is set to make a cameo appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated film Love & War. This marks her reunion with the acclaimed filmmaker after a six-year hiatus, following their successful collaborations in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, and Padmaavat.
The film, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is a modern love story first announced earlier this year. While details of Deepika’s role remain under wraps, Indian media reports suggest that her appearance will add a unique touch to the star-studded project.
Additionally, socialite and Bollywood insider Orhan Awatramani, known as Orry, has joined the ensemble cast. He is reportedly playing a homosexual character closely connected to Alia Bhatt’s role as a cabaret dancer. A production insider revealed, “While Orry’s involvement in the project is currently being kept under wraps, he has already shot for his segment in Love & War. It is likely that the makers intend for his appearance to be a surprise element for the audience.”
Rumors also hint at Shah Rukh Khan being approached for a special role in the second half of the film, but no official confirmation has been made.
Originally slated for a Christmas 2025 release, Love & War is now expected to hit theaters in March 2026, leaving fans eagerly awaiting Bhansali’s latest cinematic masterpiece.
