Tahir Raj Bhasin has expressed his excitement for Season 3 of Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. He takes pride in the success of Season 2 and is looking forward to what’s next.
The actor shared his satisfaction in overcoming the challenges of “Season 2’s sophomore slump.”
“It’s remarkable that we’ve announced Season 3 in record time,” he said. “Typically, it takes at least 2-3 months. This is unbelievable.”
Tahir also expressed his relief in overcoming the challenges associated with creating a successful sequel. “There’s always pressure in making a successful follow-up to a first season because comparisons are inevitable. The idea of the ‘sophomore slump’ is real, where sequels often fail to meet audience and critics’ expectations. We’re thrilled because we’ve broken that myth,” Tahir said.
This renewal coincides with Tahir completing 10 years in the industry, marking a significant milestone since his debut with Mardaani (2014). Reflecting on his journey, he said, “Transitioning from a romantic hero to exploring diverse content, like paying tribute to Bollywood of the 90s, has been a rewarding experience.”
Discussing the hiatus, Tahir stated, “If I find something I like, I’m ready to return, regardless of the timing.” He also appreciated OTT platforms for providing him with diverse opportunities: “OTT has given me genres I hadn’t explored before. It’s just the beginning, but I’m confident there will be more central roles in both cinema and OTT.”
