Malaysia has announced plans to resume the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, which disappeared over ten years ago on March 8, 2014. Transport Minister Anthony Loke stated that a contract has been signed with Ocean Infinity, a company that will search a new area in the southern Indian Ocean. If wreckage is found, Ocean Infinity will receive $70 million. The Boeing 777 aircraft vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members. Malaysia had suspended the search in 2018, but efforts are now being renewed.
