The United Nations Security Council has been informed that the smooth lifting of sanctions on Syria is essential to address the country’s severe economic and humanitarian crises. International organizations and aid groups have emphasized the need for easing sanctions at the global level to mitigate the impact of the ongoing crisis in Syria. Currently, millions of lives are at risk in Syria, and the sanctions are obstructing efforts to provide assistance.
UNICEF and other aid organizations also expressed that lifting the sanctions would accelerate the delivery of aid to the Syrian people and assist in the reconstruction process of the country.
