The match started with a strong lead from Pakistan, as Sufiyan opened the scoring just three minutes into the game. Malaysia briefly leveled the score in the second quarter, but Pakistan regained the lead with another brilliant strike by Sufiyan in the 35th minute. Abdul Qayyum extended Pakistan’s advantage to 3-1 in the final quarter before Sufiyan completed his hat-trick with a late goal, sealing the victory.
This win marks Pakistan’s fourth consecutive triumph in the tournament, after previous wins against China, Bangladesh, and hosts Oman. The team’s excellent performance in the group stage has earned them 12 points from four matches, with a semi-final clash against Japan scheduled for Tuesday.
