Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will participate in the “One Water Summit” in Riyadh on December 3-4, 2024. The summit, a collaborative effort by Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank, aims to strengthen global cooperation on water resource management. PM Shehbaz will address a roundtable focusing on freshwater conservation and the restoration of wetlands. He is expected to emphasize Pakistan’s efforts in water conservation, improving water quality, and enhancing climate resilience.
The Prime Minister will also highlight the urgency of international collaboration to address climate-induced challenges such as floods and erratic weather patterns. While in Riyadh, he will engage in bilateral discussions, furthering cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Additionally, PM Shehbaz expressed satisfaction over the significant progress in Pakistan-Saudi investment projects, showcasing a growing partnership between the two countries.
