The funeral prayers for three security personnel martyred during a recent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest were held at Chaklala Garrison. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir were present at the ceremony.
The ISPR stated that the martyred personnel—Naik Muhammad Ram
zan, Sepoy Gulfam Khan, and Sepoy Shahnawaz—lost their lives during clashes that erupted during the protest. Their bodies have been sent to their native villages, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif
condemned the violent actions, saying, “Such acts of violence go beyond the limits of tolerance for law enforcement.” He added, “Pakistan cannot afford chaos or bloodshed in pursuit of political agendas. These violent incidents are unacceptable and deeply condemnable.”
