Hamas’s Military Wing Reports Multiple Strikes on Israeli Targets
The armed wing of Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, has claimed responsibility for a “complex operation” targeting Israeli forces in both northern and southern Gaza.
Attack in Southern Gaza: Israeli Infantry Targeted
In the southern Gaza city of Rafah, the Qassam Brigades stated that its fighters attacked an Israeli engineering infantry unit near the Burj Awad junction. The operation involved an antipersonnel shell aimed at a group of five soldiers and the use of a Yassin-105 shell to strike an armored troop carrier. The group also reported that a helicopter was dispatched to evacuate casualties from the scene.
Assault in Northern Gaza: Armored Vehicle Hit
In the northern part of Gaza, specifically the as-Saftawi area north of Gaza City, Palestinian fighters targeted an Israeli Nimr armored vehicle. Additionally, the group claimed to have launched an anti-fortification shell at Israeli soldiers who were reportedly holed up in a house in the area.
The Qassam Brigades’ statements highlight a series of coordinated military actions against Israeli forces in both regions of Gaza.
