LAHORE: At the National Swimming Championship on Saturday at the International Swimming Pool of the Nishtar Sports Complex, Punjabi swimmer Aryan Rehman Khawar set a new national record in the 50-meter freestyle event.
Aryan set a new record and won with a time of 24.42 seconds in an extremely impressive performance. Hamza Asif of Wapda took the second spot, followed by Aryan Zayn Din, who came in third.
Army has now won nine gold medals, putting them at the top of the medal table. They have won four more gold medals, one silver medal, and five bronze medals.
Sindh overtook Wapda for the third position, securing two golds, while Punjab remained in second place with a total of two golds. With one gold, Wapda finished fourth.
Army also dominated the women’s competition, consolidating their lead with two more gold medals, bringing their total to five gold, two silver, and three bronze.
Sindh came in second with four golds, three silvers, and two bronzes, while Wapda and Punjab came in third and fourth with two golds, respectively.
