KYIV: AFP Russian rocket strikes killed three individuals remembering a youngster for the Ukrainian city of Dnipro while a teen and someone else kicked the bucket in assaults on Kyiv and the encompassing district, authorities said Saturday.
Sergiy Lysak, governor of the central Dnipropetrovsk region, stated that overnight strikes on Dnipro resulted in the injuries of 19 others and the destruction of numerous buildings.
He claimed that a two-story residential building was destroyed.
Pictures shared by Lysak showed heros working in a heap of rubble, while one more showed what had all the earmarks of being an emergency clinic room with its windows extinguished.
In Dnipro, three people were killed, including a child. Four children were among the 19 injured. Eight are in the hospital, Lysak stated.
According to authorities in the region, two people were killed in separate nighttime attacks on the capital Kyiv and the surrounding region. One of the victims was a teenage girl who was killed in a drone strike.
Throughout Russia’s invasion, cities in Ukraine, including Kyiv, have been the targets of deadly drone and missile attacks.
As Moscow intensifies its attacks on energy infrastructure, Kyiv has been requesting more air defenses from its allies ahead of what is likely to be its most difficult winter yet.
