Pakistan need stability to build on Saturday’s memorable victory over England, their first home Test series victory in nearly four years, according to captain Shan Masood.
In the third and final Test in Rawalpindi, Masood’s team defeated England by nine wickets to win the series 2-1.
In the first Test, England defeated Pakistan by an innings, but the hosts responded quickly, with their spinners doing most of the damage.
Masood told the reporters, “Like London buses, they come together.” After a long time, the first victory was followed by a series victory. It’s unique.”
Masood’s tenure had been marred by six consecutive defeats, including a 2-0 home defeat to Bangladesh, before Pakistan leveled the series in Multan last week.
He received fervent demands for his resignation.
Pakistan cricket has been having trouble in all formats recently, with players and management being cut and changed by a revolving door of leadership.
Masood declared, “Progress is the most important thing for me.”
He continued, “The Pakistan team needs stability right now.” Yet, when we imagine that changes are important to put the group on a triumphant track, we will do as such.”
England was bowled out for 112 in 37.2 overs thanks to spinners Noman Ali’s 6-42 and Sajid Khan’s 4-69.
The pair did not play in the first Test, which England won with a record first innings score of 837 and resulted in the removal of Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi from the team.
In the subsequent two Tests, Noman and Sajid took a remarkable 39 wickets together, destroying England’s batting and winning a storied series.
Masood said, “Noman and Sajid were outstanding, like they were in the second Test.” It is the most special thing for us to be here and to be the winning team.
Pakistan were buoyed by a gritty century from middle-order batsman Saud Shakeel, ensuring that they had crucial runs to defend between the duo’s spin mastery in both England innings.
Masood stated, “People’s stature has increased.” It’s all about the team as a whole and its spirit.” Saturday’s coordinate finished with Masood crushing Shoaib Bashir for six to pursue down the 36-run focus in 3.1 overs before lunch.
After Pakistan’s series victory, Stokes claims that Pakistan’s spin duo is just too good. Captain Ben Stokes said that Pakistan’s spin duo is just too good for his England team.
Stokes stated, “You’ve got to raise your hands to say that those two in particular were obviously too good for our batting line-up in those last two games.”
Stokes stated, “Credit to Noman and Sajid, the way they bowled in the second Test match and in this game, you know it was very good and challenging.”
Stokes said that England’s series loss to Pakistan, where they beat them 3-0 on home two years ago, was even more disappointing.
Stokes, who was injured and was unable to perform well with the bat upon his return, said, “Losing games for England hurts, so it’s disappointing.” He missed the first Test in Multan because of the injury.
England’s attacking philosophy has relied heavily on the savior Stokes, and as a result, their record fell in the first Multan Test victory. However, he stated that consistency had been a problem since.
Stokes said, “We need to do things for longer.” In late November, his team will travel to New Zealand for a three-match series.
“As I mentioned earlier, we performed well only a few times throughout this game and the second game.
However, you are aware that you will always begin to deteriorate if you do not maintain that.
Officials commend the team for its victory Officials from all over the country commended the men’s cricket team for its victory over England. The team was congratulated by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for winning the 2-1 home Test series against England.
The president said the public group showed brilliant game in the Test series and communicated the expectation that such a sign of magnificent execution would go on in future.
