The Guardian newspaper reported on Wednesday that a former model has accused Donald Trump of groping her after the two of them were introduced by sexual abuser Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s.
Stacey Williams claimed that the disgraced financier, whom she had dated, introduced her to the Republican presidential candidate in 1992 at a party.
Williams was quoted as saying, “It became very clear then that he and Donald were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together.” Williams spoke about the alleged assault on a call on Monday that was hosted by Survivors for Kamala, a lobby group that supports Kamala Harris, Trump’s Democratic rival for the presidency.
Williams claimed that Epstein pulled her toward him and began groping her in 1992 when he paid Trump an impromptu visit at his New York office block. Epstein was convicted of sex crimes and committed suicide in 2019.
Williams, now 56, claims that Trump touched her breasts, waist, and buttocks “all over” and caused her to freeze. She also noticed that the two men appeared to be smiling at each other.
A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign dismissed the allegations as a “fake” story, according to The Guardian. The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to AFP’s request for comment.
She described Williams as “a former activist” for Democratic ex-president Barack Obama and claimed that it was created by the Harris campaign.
Williams shared a postcard depicting Trump’s South Florida mansion and his handwritten message, which she claimed he had sent to her agent following the episode: Stacey is your temporary residence. I adore Donald.
More than 20 women have accused Trump of sexual assault or harassment, but he denies any wrongdoing.
In January, a New York court ordered him to compensate the writer E Jean Carroll, whom he was found responsible for sexually assaulting and defaming, with $83.3 million.
