The Sindh Counter Psychological oppression Office (CTD) on Monday captured three asserted fear mongers from the prohibited Tehreek-I-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth.
The suspects uncovered during the cross examination that TTP had requested them to send off assaults on the police in Karachi, a CTD representative said in a public statement gave today, a duplicate of which is accessible with Dawn.com.
The spokesperson stated that Farhad, Haji Rehman, and Muhammad Sagheer were the terrorists and that an additional investigation was underway.
According to the CTD, the suspects gave them three pistols and pamphlets from banned organizations. The pamphlets will be sent to the laboratory for analysis.
In Sohrab Goth, the TTP claimed responsibility earlier in June for firing at the police, killing PC Muhammad Yasin and injuring PC Salman Abbas.
During 129 intelligence-based operations on Saturday, the Punjab CTD also made seven terrorist arrests.
According to a digital database that is kept up by the Pak Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS), a think tank with its headquarters in Islamabad, there were 59 terrorist attacks in Pakistan in August, up from 38 in the previous month.
