Penn., Harrisburg — Saturday, billionaire Elon Musk made a promise to a person who signs his online petition in support of the United States Constitution that he would give away one million dollars each day until the election in November.
In addition, he promptly presented a $1 million check to an attendee of his Pennsylvania event aimed at attracting Republican Donald Trump supporters. Staff at the event said that John Dreher, a man, was the winner.
The money is the latest example of Musk using his extraordinary wealth to influence Trump’s and Vice President Kamala Harris’s closely contested presidential race.
Musk established America PAC, a political action committee in support of Donald Trump’s campaign for president. The group is assisting in voter registration and mobilization in battleground states, but there are indications that it is having difficulty achieving its objectives.
