ISLAMABAD: The prison administration clarified on Saturday that the former prime minister was enjoying all of the facilities that are available to him under “B Class” and in accordance with the jail manual, in response to the PTI interim chairman’s complaint about the conditions that the party founder Imran Khan had to endure in Adiala jail.
In a question and answer session after a gathering with the PTI pioneer, Lawyer Gohar Ali Khan guaranteed that Imran Khan was not being given offices in prison and capacity to his phone had stayed separated for the beyond five days. He claimed that Imran Khan’s cell had no electricity for five days and that he had not exercised in two weeks.
“After October 3, we held a 45-minute meeting in Adiala Jail with the founding chairman. Beneficially, Mr Khan was searching healthy. However, the founding chairman revealed the state of his Adiala Jail cell for the first time in his life. He informed us that he has not exercised in two weeks and that his cell has not had electricity for five days.
“He informed us that he had been deprived of television for the last two weeks and was unaware of any development regarding the constitutional amendment,” said Barrister Gohar. He (Imran) likewise censured the capture of his sisters,” he said.
We were told to leave after 45 minutes, despite our hopes that we would be allowed to meet him for an hour and a half. We have been given four names by Imran Khan, and he has suggested that we talk about the draft of the amendment with them. He stated, “We will try to meet Mr. Khan again on Monday.”
He said that the way the government was threatening people was unacceptable in response to a question. He stated that Mr. Khan fully supported Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in response to another question.
The administration of the jail, on the other hand, denied the claims and said, “All facilities for Imran.” The “Class B” status ensured that the PTI founder would have access to all facilities, according to the jail superintendent.
The official at the jail clarified that, in accordance with the law and regulations, the PTI leader had access to all of the necessary amenities, including food, health care, studying, and exercise.
The PTI founder’s barracks continue to receive uninterrupted power. He stated, “The Punjab government has provided a prisoner to prepare him breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”
He stated that the PTI founder received coffee, chia seeds, beetroot juice, yoghurt, and dates for breakfast while providing details about meals over the past few days; Lunch consisted of chicken, yogurt, soda, salad, and green tea; and for dinner, porridge, coconut, coconut water, and grapes. According to the jail superintendent, the meals served to the PTI founder were prepared and checked by the assistant superintendent.
“The specialists deputed in the prison check the detainee’s wellbeing three times each day and all imperative signs are checked consistently. During the most recent fourteen days, the detainee has not been found to have any illness and is totally sound,” he explained.
Because of the cases of the PTI pioneers that only one specialist from the Pakistan Organization of Clinical Sciences (Pims) visited Mr Khan for his examination, the prison director expressed that two days prior, clinical experts from Pims Islamabad inspected the PTI organizer completely and arranged a thorough report that was shipped off the public authority and the PTI initiative.
Discussing the paper offices, he said that the PTI pioneer was likewise furnished with an everyday paper. Moreover, the PTI pioneer was given strolling and practice offices and he burned through two hours day to day practicing in the open yard of his sleeping quarters, he asserted.
