The Punjab CTD conducted the IBOs in various districts, interrogated 129 suspects, and arrested seven terrorists who belonged to the banned militant Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan and other organizations, according to a statement that was released today.
It added that they were captured during IBOs in Lahore, Bhakkar, Attock, Wahari, Bahawalpur and Jhang.
In addition, two improvised explosive devices and 1,190 grams of explosives were among the weapons, explosives, and other prohibited materials recovered from them, according to the statement.
The CTD representative said the fear based oppressors had arranged damage in the area and needed to target significant establishments and different spots, adding that seven bodies of evidence were enrolled against them and further examination was in progress.
The assertion said that 2,943 brushing activities were directed, 68,537 people were checked, 257 suspects were captured, 250 cases were enrolled and 179 recuperations were made in the previous week.
The Punjab CTD had earlier made 18 arrests on Oct. 5.
Despite a decrease in the number of attacks last month, a report from the Pak Institute for Peace Studies indicates that the country has recently experienced a significant increase in the number of attacks that target security forces, other law enforcement agencies, and security checkpoints, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
