In a news release, Fort Worth police said that an internal investigation led to the firing of a police officer who shot a man while he was off duty last month.
Previous official William Martin was engaged with a shooting on Sept. 3, while he was off the clock. Martin was driving home from work around 4 p.m. on Interstate 35W when he was struck by a moving pickup truck, according to the police and an affidavit provided by his attorney.
