The king and queen, Camilla, are scheduled to travel to Australia and Samoa in the coming days.
A statement about His Majesty’s travel plans was released on September 10 by Buckingham Palace for the royal fans.
“The King and Queen will visit Australia and Samoa, and attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from October 18 to 26, 2024,” the message reads.
It is important to note that this will be King Charles’s first major tour outside of the United States since he announced that he had cancer in February 2024.
In light of the monarch’s serious health issues, a former royal aide told The Daily Beast that the Australia trip will be a “make-or-break” situation.
The Australian media “operate without the same restrictions as the British media” regarding the King’s well-being, the source informed him.
The report stated, “It’s all about proving he isn’t dying, to be blunt,” despite raising concerns regarding King’s risky decision to embark on a lengthy travel journey. The issue is that people will jump to the opposite conclusion if something goes wrong. I believe it will determine Charles’ fate.”
However, according to a different source, King Charles’s health will “remain the number one priority” during the upcoming visit, and his treatment is “heading in a very positive trajectory,” according to the Daily Mail.
