In his address, the president emphasized the importance of fostering economic and cultural cooperation as well as fostering connectivity among nations in the region.
He stated that Pakistan and Turkmenistan have a deep brotherhood that is based on mutual respect, a shared faith, and a vision of a peaceful future.
The president expressed his sincere gratitude to Turkmenistan’s government and friendly people for organizing this prestigious event with the goal of fostering cultural understanding, peace, and dialogue.
President Zardari expressed his delight at learning that Turkmen poet Makhdum Gulli Fraghi and our national poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal share a number of similarities in their poetry and perspectives on nationalism and Sufism.
He thanks Sardar Berdi Muhammedov, Turkmenistan’s president, for organizing this event to promote Makhdum Gulli Fraghi’s works and give Turkmenistanans a chance to interact with leaders from other countries in the region, which would help strengthen our friendship.
In addition, the president thanked the Turkmen people for declaring 2024 to be the “Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world- Makhdum Gulli.”
