I’m on a journey to find the best skincare for me at a price I can afford. Due to the scorching heat of Karachi, I have recently regained the long-lost motivation to pay attention to the deteriorating state of my skin. It is difficult to spend your hard-earned money on skincare, which may cost an arm and a leg, because the heat is unforgiving and inflation is unfortunately on the rise.
Since my nighttime routine does not consist of eight steps, I will be honest and say that I do not follow a complicated skincare routine. A good moisturizer, a glycolic acid serum, and a double cleanse are my holy grails. I finish everything off with a final mist of rose water. However, when the rose water I found in my kitchen started irritating my skin and my mother kept complaining that I was consuming too much of it, I knew I had to look for a new brand.
A package from Aura Crafts that was sent to the office.
The job is done by the Organic Rose Water from Aura Crafts. It is everything a rose water should be: light, leaves your skin feeling fresh, hydrated, and plump, and it doesn’t feel heavy. Furthermore, at Rs1,250 per bottle, there is a lot of it! Since I prefer my face mists to be more neutral, the only thing I don’t like about it is the strong scent. But hey, if you like roses, this might be perfect for you. My skin feels hydrated now, almost two weeks after using it.
Eden, a body mist from Aura Crafts, was another item I tried. It is absolutely worth your Rs1,250, and it is priced the same as their rose water. In contrast to their facial mist, the scent is delicate. After wearing it for the first time, the floral scent quickly became my favorite, and since I prefer it to fruity tones, it fits me perfectly. Even though the mist’s scent won’t likely last you eight hours, it could work well on its own or over your regular perfume.
When it comes to local skincare brands, it stands to reason that Aura Crafts might just be the saving grace I had been looking for. I’m eyeing their lip balm and K-Repair Radiance Serum after their mists. Their website allows you to place orders for all product lines.
