England finished the third day of the first Test match between Pakistan and England in Multan in command, scoring 492 runs and losing three wickets.
England lost opener Zak Crawley for 78 to start the day with 96 runs and one wicket down, adding only 17 runs to the score. But Joe Root and Ben Duckett’s formidable partnership of 136 runs overcame this setback. After scoring 84 runs, Duckettt eventually lost.
Harry Brook contributed 141 runs, and Joe Root remained at the crease with an impressive 176 runs as the day ended. England is only 64 runs behind.
Aamer Jamal and Shaheen Shah Afridi each took one wicket in Pakistan’s bowling attack.
