Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has stated that the Sindh government is giving its full attention to the issues faced by Karachi and is making every possible effort to provide relief to the public.
He mentioned that the repair work on the city’s roads commenced only after the recent rains, and the Sindh government has already allocated 1.5 billion rupees to the Karachi Municipal Corporation for road repairs.
Chief Minister Shah highlighted that 200 billion rupees are being invested in various projects across Karachi, with significant progress being made on essential transport initiatives.
He noted that the completion of the Red Line and Yellow Line BRT projects is expected to greatly alleviate the city’s transport problems. Additionally, discussions have been initiated with Chinese authorities to restore the Karachi Circular Railway through the federal government; he assured that the Pakistan Peoples Party would soon deliver this project to the city’s residents.
The Chief Minister also indicated that the completion of the Malir Expressway would improve traffic flow and resolve congestion issues. Furthermore, the Sindh government is planning to develop another expressway from Karachi Port to Jam Sadiq Bridge. He expressed confidence that once transport, road sector, Safe City, and K-IV projects are completed, Karachi will transform into a great city.
