Iran has issued a warning that no further extensions are possible for the Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project.
In an interview with anchorperson Nader Gramani on Dawn News’ program “Doosra Rukh,” the Iranian ambassador stated that Iran has completed its work on the gas pipeline and that the oil company wishes to resolve issues through dialogue with Pakistan.
The ambassador also expressed concerns about the involvement of other forces in the terrorism originating from Afghanistan, stating that terrorism is a prevalent issue in the region.
He noted that several terrorist groups and their remnants exist in Afghanistan, prompting Iran to install fencing along the border to prevent their actions.
Moreover, he highlighted the significant influx of drugs from Afghanistan into Iran.
The Iranian ambassador commented, “I don’t think Afghanistan has enough funds to finance such terrorist activities; in my view, this money is coming from elsewhere.”
A detailed interview with the Iranian ambassador will air on Dawn News’ “Doosra Rukh” program today at 7 PM.
