The eliminator match between Mahkhorz and Lions in the ongoing Champions ODI Cup was abandoned due to rain, leaving fans disappointed. Scheduled for Friday in Faisalabad, the match could not even begin as the rain made the outfield unplayable, preventing the toss from taking place.
With the cancellation of the match, the Mahkhorz team advanced to the final of the Champions ODI Cup based on their superior position in the points table from the league matches.
Previously, the Panthers team had also secured their spot in the final of the Champions Cup.
Although the Shaheens Lions had struggled in the round matches, their better run rate and a single victory allowed them to reach the top four. In the first eliminator, the Lions had hoped to clinch the title after a thrilling victory against the Stallions, but rain dashed those dreams.
The final of the Champions ODI Cup will now be played between the Panthers and Mahkhorz on Sunday at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, promising an exciting showdown for cricket enthusiasts.
