Washington: Former President Donald Trump has expressed concerns over a serious threat to his life from Iran. In a statement on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Republican presidential candidate mentioned that he has been receiving threats from Iran, emphasizing, “My life is in serious danger due to Iran.” He noted that while Iran has previously attempted such actions, they have not succeeded.
Trump further stated that the U.S. military is aware of the threat to his life from Iran and is on standby. He thanked Congress for approving additional funding for the Secret Service, adding with irony, “I am now surrounded by more people and weapons than ever before.”
On July 13, Trump was slightly injured during a shooting at a political rally in Pennsylvania, where the assailant was killed by security forces in response. Additionally, on September 15, gunfire was heard near Trump’s rally site in Florida, but he remained unharmed.
Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign released a statement indicating that during a briefing from National Intelligence, officials informed him about real and specific threats from Iran regarding his assassination and attempts to destabilize the United States.
