Sanchez reiterated his support for a two-state solution, emphasizing the need for a Palestinian nation “living side by side with Israel” to achieve stability. Following talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Sanchez stressed the urgency of peace and called for restraint. Abbas also urged a new peace conference in Madrid, akin to the 1991 talks that led to the Oslo Accords.
