Cassie Ventura was spotted looking happy while dining with friends in New York City on Wednesday, just days after her ex, Sean “Diddy” Combs, was arrested.
The “Me & U” singer, 38, wore an all-black outfit, complete with a bucket hat, T-shirt, belted jeans, hoop earrings, and a cross-body bag. She was seen walking with Sarah Snedeker, who is currently working on a documentary about Combs.
Cassie and Diddy had a tumultuous relationship from 2007 to 2018. After their split, Cassie found happiness with her husband, personal trainer Alex Fine, with whom she shares two daughters, Frankie, 4, and Sunny, 3.
Fine publicly supported his wife when she made headlines in November 2023 for filing a lawsuit against Combs, accusing him of sexual assault, physical violence, and other abuses. Combs settled the lawsuit within 24 hours, and months later issued a public apology after surveillance footage from 2016 surfaced, showing him assaulting Cassie in a hotel.
In her social media statement, Cassie reflected on the impact of domestic violence, saying, “It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.” She also shared that while she’s better today, “I will always be recovering from my past.”
While Cassie has not commented on the recent sexual assault allegations against Combs, her attorney, Douglas Wigdor, expressed hope that Combs would be “held responsible for his depraved conduct” after raids on his homes earlier this year.
