QUETTA: The Balochistan Child Protection Commission has raised serious concerns over the growing trend of using children as human shields in political protests and sit-ins, calling it a grave violation of their rights.
The commission emphasized that such exploitation endangers the safety and protection of minors, violating both national laws and Article 19 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The body urged the government to take strict action against those responsible for this exploitation under relevant laws, ensuring the protection and welfare of children.
Additionally, it called on political and social organizations to refrain from involving minors in any protests or activities that could compromise their safety and well-being.
