YouTuber Arun Maini, known as Mrwhosetheboss, has achieved a remarkable feat by building the largest smartphone replica: a towering iPhone over two meters tall. This oversized iPhone 15 Pro Max was created with the help of Matthew Perks, also known as DIYPerks.
Mrwhosetheboss, who began posting tech reviews on YouTube in 2011, expressed his amazement at the accomplishment, saying, “Growing up, I would disappear into the library for hours to read the latest Guinness World Records books, so to achieve an award myself feels absolutely surreal.” He added, “It’s a full circle moment for us. I’m incredibly proud of our team and Matt for achieving something unprecedented.”
The giant iPhone is fully functional, capable of scrolling, sending texts and emails, and running all standard apps. It also features a working camera, flashlight, and charging port. Maini created the massive replica to mark surpassing Apple in YouTube subscribers, a milestone he recently achieved.
In related tech news, Apple has unveiled its latest iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. The new models feature faster A18 chips, “Action” buttons, and improved processors, screens, and cameras. Apple also introduced updated Apple Watches with sleep apnea detection and new AirPods models, including entry-level and noise-canceling versions.
The iPhone 16 starts at $899 (approximately Rs2,50,762 in Pakistan), with prices expected to rise to Rs379,999 after taxes. The iPhone 16 Plus, priced at $999 (about Rs2,78,655), will also see significant price increases due to additional costs and taxes in the local market.
