Saudi Arabia celebrated its National Cultural Awards at a grand ceremony held at the King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh. The event recognized outstanding contributions across 16 creative categories and was attended by a diverse audience of local and international guests, including Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan.
Prince Badr, who welcomed the attendees, highlighted the culmination of the 2024 National Cultural Awards initiative. He underscored the initiative’s role in fostering a cultural renaissance under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and emphasized the Ministry of Culture’s commitment to developing cultural capacities through comprehensive partnerships.
The awards honored achievements in various categories, including Cultural Personality of the Year, Youth Culture Award, International Cultural Excellence Award, and many more, ranging from Film and Fashion to Literature and Culinary Arts.
In his address, Prince Badr celebrated the rich Arab history and the remarkable contributions of Saudi citizens to the cultural sector. He praised the awards for their role in recognizing and encouraging significant advancements in cultural promotion both locally and internationally.
The ceremony also featured performances by Saudi singers and an orchestra, adding to the festive atmosphere with their engaging musical artistry.
