Though Prince William and Prince Harry remain estranged, Kate Middleton reportedly feels conflicted between the two brothers. The Princess of Wales, who is said to still care for her brother-in-law, is considering reaching out as Harry approaches his 40th birthday on September 14th.
Prince Harry has previously described Kate as the “sister he never had” and was supportive of her during her early years of marriage to William. According to Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former butler, Kate wishes that William would reach out and wish Harry a happy birthday.
“Kate has always been a mediator and believes in fairness,” Burrell told *Closer* magazine. He added that she hopes for a reconciliation between the brothers. However, he noted that Kate is hesitant to act independently because of William’s feelings. William reportedly feels betrayed by Harry, especially after the release of Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”
“Kate knows she has to fully support William,” Burrell explained. “She understands how he feels and feels torn about sending a birthday message to Harry.”
These comments came after Kate announced in a heartwarming family video that she is “cancer-free” following a nine-month-long chemotherapy treatment. The video, which showed a rare glimpse of the Wales family’s close bond, highlighted Kate’s focus on staying healthy as she gradually returns to work. She also shared a message of hope for the public and those still battling cancer.
