Prince William and Princess Kate have announced their first public appearance since the Princess’s recovery from cancer. On Tuesday, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartwarming video featuring Ruby Davies, a young poet promoting Welsh culture through her work.
Alongside the video, the couple revealed that they will visit Swiss Valley Community Primary School today to meet Ruby. The statement read, “Ruby Davies ft. @OwainWynEvans! Earlier this year, Ruby won at the Urdd Eisteddfod, with a captivating poetry performance that was a fantastic celebration of Welsh culture and language.”
They added, “We asked Owain to go and meet Ruby, to explain a bit more about the Eisteddfod and why it’s such an important cultural moment. Looking forward to meeting Ruby and everyone at Swiss Valley Community Primary School later today!”
This new royal engagement update follows Princess Kate’s recent announcement that she had completed chemotherapy. The mother of three first revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, leaving many around the world shocked and concerned.
