Kate Middleton has taken a different approach from the late Queen Elizabeth in handling personal matters, opting to share her cancer diagnosis with the public. Unlike the late Queen, who famously kept her personal information private, the Princess of Wales has been more open with royal fans.
Andrew Morton, author of “The Queen: 1926-2022,” explained to OK! magazine that the Queen was known for her privacy regarding medical matters. “There’s no question that the person who most wanted medical things to be kept private was the Queen,” he said, noting that even after her death, only “old age” was listed on her death certificate, much like Prince Philip’s.
Royal commentator Morton praised Kate for raising awareness about her cancer diagnosis. “Kate’s touching piece to camera at Kensington Palace marked a genuine change in how the royal family handles illness,” he said, adding that her openness effectively addressed the public speculation surrounding her health.
Morton described Kate’s decision as a “shrewd move” that helped dispel any uncertainty or rumors about her condition.
