Prince William and Prince Harry, who have had no contact for over two years, are now making headlines over the possibility of a reunion. The once-close brothers have been estranged since Harry’s departure from the royal family with Meghan Markle, with Harry focusing primarily on his new life in the United States.
Royal experts suggest that Harry’s potential return to the UK and resuming his royal duties could renew interest in the monarchy, especially among Commonwealth citizens and certain age groups. However, some commentators have different views.
Kinsey Schofield, speaking to GB News, claimed, “Victimhood has been very lucrative for Harry,” and questioned whether recent headlines about Harry’s possible return are just another attempt to cast the royal family in a negative light.
When asked why she believes Harry might eventually return to the royal fold, Schofield suggested, “Americans did not welcome them as warmly as they expected. I think they’ve made a lot of missteps over the last few years and haven’t achieved the life they envisioned.”
She further stated, “The ‘American Dream’ hasn’t materialized for them as they hoped, and Prince Harry now realizes he had a significant role and purpose as a member of the Royal Family.”
Reports also suggest that the Duke of Sussex is eager to reconnect with his “old life,” even reaching out to former UK aides for guidance on how to facilitate his return.
Meanwhile, Prince William reportedly opposes Harry’s return to the royal fold, especially after Harry’s claims in interviews and his memoir “Spare,” which some believe damaged the reputation of the monarchy and its senior members.
